The Ottumwa Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The library will resume normal business hours at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 6. Have a happy and safe holiday.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
- Register at the library or online at summer.ottumwapubliclibrary.org
- Pre-register as early as May 18.
- Starting on June 1, LOGIN and begin entering books!
- Read books and win prizes!
- Prizes are awarded for every 200 pages read up to 2,000 pages.
- Receive a special prize for reading 2,500 pages.
- Read 3,000 pages and your name will be entered into a drawing for a NINTENDO DS .
- No entries will be accepted after midnight on July 27, 2009.
Find "Ellie the Elephant"
Find “Ellie” the elephant anywhere in the children’s room and enter your name in a weekly prize drawing. Look carefully, Ellie dances to a new spot daily!
