Can I suspend my request until later?
Suspending a Request

If you are going to be unable to pick up requests for a certain period, but will still want the item later, you can simply suspend the request instead of canceling it. By suspending your request, you will not lose your place in line for the item. When you suspend a request you tell the computer when you would like that request to become active again.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click on the holds sub-tab.

  3. Click on the check box next to the requests you would like to suspend.

  4. Select the date that you would like the holds to become active again.

  5. Click on the change status button.
